Holy Cow Dies!

 

Dear All,

 

Here is yet another Cruelty case brought up by PAWS. On Monday 31st October

2005, PAWS received a call from local residents of ShivTemple Road, Dombivli

(East) stating that 2 Cows are lying injured & unattended by the administration

of the Shiv Temple Trust. Same day PAWS representatives Vishal, Kishore & Nilesh

went to the spot & found that one cow’s Uterus came out & cow cannot stand. This

happened because of the premature delivery of the cow. Second cow is lying in

her own filth which was paralyzed due to unknown accident. In inspection we also

found that there is no water kept for Cows, the entire floor is damaged,

drainage system is not working & everywhere cow dung was spread over. Many cows

skin was fully coated with cow-dung & they were tied to small leash.

 

After a hour, huge crowd gathered from adjacent buildings & were complaining

against the Trust. Then PAWS volunteers, Bajrang Dal volunteers approached them

to get the both the cows transferred to Bombay SPCA animal hospital. But the

lady manager Ms. Nirmala Thakkar was not ready to do shift the animals. She just

called vet. But the Vet said the both cases cannot be treated as both are

surgery cases. The Manager wanted let the cow die. People started beating all

the caretakers for the same.

 

Then we finally went to Ram Nagar Police Station to file a written complaint

against the Trust who owns this small shelter. Police called that lady & staff

to the police station, police were not much cooperative & they asked that how

can you prove that those injured cows are owned by the same trust?

 

Finally the Police accepted the case at 3.00AM & after some time the temple and

goshala trustees shifted the cow to Bombay spca animal hospital.one cow died

immediately after hospitalization who got prolapse.due to sheer negligence and

delay in hospitalization the cow died.

Please write a strong letter warning goshala trust regarding ill treatment of
