Guest guest
We are only too lucky, that the mass.slaughter has stopped by itself after five terrible days... if that would have been depending on this case, many more dogs would have died because the court is not giving priority to this. In today's hearing Dr. Jayasinghe was asked to bring proof for his statements by 21st October... that's all. For us this means another three weeks uncertainty, whether to release the grown-up dogs into their territories, whether to take in new ones and to sterilize them, whether to concentrate on sterilizing domestic dogs in the meantime, or whether to keep our funds safe without doing anything to make sure, that the dogs, which are with us now will remain protected and looked after. It's hard to decide on anything right now, but we will have to and will soon have an AGM for this. Dawn Peacock from HSI was with us today and shared some of her CNR experiences from Bali and from the Tsunami areas. She couldn't really advice us on our ever tight budget problem, but we were happy to hear abot the progress in the south-cost, where it was possible to get written agreements signed by the municipalities, that the tattooed dogs will not be killed. Whether the team will be able to check on this, since it is moving from place to place? There would have been many more questions, but she had to move on and we had to go home... but thanks to the internet we'll remain in touch... .... as we are with all of you Padma
