Bullfighting in Himachal Pradesh

Dear Chief Minister,

 

I am an animal lover from Greece. Recently we have heard about

bullfighting organised at Arki (SHIMLA) fair in Himachal Pradesh in

violation of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960. It is shocking

and sad to see that such terrible things happen in your country. To our

knowledge it is about a country with a very long history, a country

whose tradition and religion represents respect towards other forms of

life and peaceful coexistence between them. It is very hard to believe

that in this country such cruelties are permitted. Addressing to your

compassion and civilized way of thinking, we are asking to protect these

poor animals from being exploited in such a barbaric way. All animals

deserve much more and much better than what they are being taken by

humanity. It is our debt to protect them, especially if we think for a

momemt how much they offfer to us.
