Dear Friends and Colleagues around the world,

 

 

 

Many of you have attended The HSUS Animal Care Expo in the past, and

we hope you will be interested in coming again. Please begin now to

plan to join us in Anaheim, California, from March 8-11 for Expo 2006!

 

 

 

We are offering many special workshops and events for international

attendees. These are in addition to the dozens of workshops being

offered by The HSUS. The HSI program will include:

 

 

 

The HSI International Day - Wednesday, April 6

 

*World View on Animal Protection

 

This presentation is designed to give you a global

overview of the current climate in animal protection.

 

*The Link Between Animal Cruelty and Human Violence

 

Learn from the experts about the link between

animal cruelty and human violence and how to address it.

 

*Anti-Cruelty Legislature and Enforcement

 

Wonder how to get legislature passed that will

protect animals? Will the government enforce the laws once they are

in place? Come and learn how you can be more effective in this

important area.

*Humane education

 

An interactive workshop including a panel of

successful humane educators. Bring your questions and your

organization's humane education materials.

 

*Evening Open Forum

 

You are invited to share your own successful

programs to help others facing similar difficulties - no more than 10

minutes, please.

*President's reception /Presentation of HSI Award

 

 

 

Saturday, April 9

 

*Organizing a Successful Campaign

 

This workshop, to be presented by experts on the

subject, is being offered by popular demand. Learn strategies for

identifying the right campaign issues for your situation and the

steps to developing a successful campaign around those issues.

 

*Roundtable/Panel Discussion on Campaigns

 

This is your opportunity to interact with

experienced and knowledgeable individuals about their experiences in

running international animal welfare campaigns.

HSI can arrange week-long internships at selected US humane societies

and animal protection agencies for qualified individuals from abroad.
