Dear Friends of Animals Asia,

Please see our website for news of our latest rescue of three bears:

two young Brown Bears who were living in a pit outside a monastery in

Litang on the border of China and Tibet and a young, lonely Moon Bear

in Tangjiahe. Though none of these bears had been farmed, that may

well have been their destiny.

All three beauties are now safe and sound at our Chengdu Rescue

Centre and their rescue brings the number of bears rescued in China

by Animals Asia to 188!!

http://www.animalsasia.org/index.php?module=6 & menupos=6 & lg=en & lg=en

At the same time we are very happy to announce that we have just

completed the making of a Community Service Announcement with our

Moon Bear Rescue Ambassador, Superstar, Karen Mok. The CSA implores

the public to support the rescue and stop using bear bile and will

play across Asia on Animal Planet and in addition will play in

outlets on local TV and cable channels and buses in China and Hong

Kong - all free of charge.

Karen is preparing for a huge concert in Chengdu later this month.

Just last week her visit to the Rescue Centre to see her adopted

bear " Bao Bei " resulted in massive media coverage of our work in

China!

Meantime, building and development of the Rescue Centre continues as

we prepare for a further 20 farmed bears to arrive at our doorstep

later this month!

Heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support!

Best wishes,

Annie
