Guest guest
Please Padma, take the evidences and file a contempt. It is the only way out now. The court battle alongwith the lobbying should do it. It is their idea to kill the dogs before the holidays of the court. They plan it that way and that was the reason asking for contempt from before. I do not know why the lawyer could not file aniticpating the problems and giving an interim order or a binding. The Police Commissioner should also be approached with the court order as they have to obey the orders of the legal court. Please approach the Police Commissioner. The vet knows that you will get a positive response to the programme hence he is doing his revenge work these holidays. Please take the photos also with him on the spot. Regards, Pradeep. We were on the phone all day, trying to reach someone, who would intervene, even the Minister for Upcountry-Development gave an immediate call to the Chiefminister to ask him to take action, but more than another phone-call to the KMC he was unable to take because of his tight schedule... and this phone-call too was ignored. Rohini was at the Police-Station twice, but the important people were not in the office today, even if they were there... I slowly doubt whether anyone of those so-called Buddhists, who always say, that they are against killing dogs, takes it really serious... more than a few kind words we have never got from anyone, when it comes to taking action, everyone is passing the bucket. Our lawyer, who kept telling us, that we can't file against the KMC because of contempt of court until he really starts killing, but when I called him today morning, he said before Monday we can't file and it will take a few days until the court responds. How many dogs will be killed by then? I don't want to even think about it? I have no idea what can help now... within few days the work of years can be destroyed if not a miracle happens to stop this madness. Guest guest
Just a short note today: we filed our case against the KMC because of contempt of court. Tomorrow we will get the date of the hearing. How many dogs will they kill til then? Hard not to despair. We still keep ringing the Chiefminister, the only person, who can legally stop this. In the meantime we found out, that this " document " , which Dr.Jayasinghe used to get this KMC resolution passed, is an order of vaccines by the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital. The amount, which has been ordered was 300% higher than the previous order, probaly because the supply is very inconsistant and often delayed and therefore bigger stocks have been ordered, not because more were needed. The Mayor and the council-members did either not look at it or they are lacking the intelligence to understand, that this means nothing. Or their minds were already set on killing and they were just waiting for such a piece of paper to justify it. The Judge however will not fall for that. We did not contact the Mayor regarding his " offer " ... too many hooks attached. I don't know if the Minister could do something and whether AWT tries to contact him. Regarding yesterday's posting of Champa: Dr. Harischandra earlier told me, that he cannot do anything in Kandy because Kandy is outside of his authority. Attached article was published in " The Island " today, one thing I had forgotten to write there: when Chandana, the manager of the transit-home in Gohagoda, wanted to take a foto of the killing team in action, the person who held the poisoned jab in his hand, came towards him to prevent him from taking the foto. Sorry, no better news today, but may be a miracle is already on the way... Chandi already gave me ray of hope and I hope tomorrow it will be revealed. Thanks to Sagarika, Sherry, Pradeep, Chandi and others, who help us to wipe our tears and keep our heads up and clear and cool inspite of the tragedy Padma
