Guest guest
Sad news... for us not only sad, but at the moment devastating: The Chiefminister's veto was simply ignored by Dr. Jayasinghe, his men caught and killed every dog they saw on the road today. We were on the phone all day, trying to reach someone, who would intervene, even the Minister for Upcountry-Development gave an immediate call to the Chiefminister to ask him to take action, but more than another phone-call to the KMC he was unable to take because of his tight schedule... and this phone-call too was ignored. Rohini was at the Police-Station twice, but the important people were not in the office today, even if they were there... I slowly doubt whether anyone of those so-called Buddhists, who always say, that they are against killing dogs, takes it really serious... more than a few kind words we have never got from anyone, when it comes to taking action, everyone is passing the bucket. Our lawyer, who kept telling us, that we can't file against the KMC because of contempt of court until he really starts killing, but when I called him today morning, he said before Monday we can't file and it will take a few days until the court responds. How many dogs will be killed by then? I don't want to even think about it? I have no idea what can help now... within few days the work of years can be destroyed if not a miracle happens to stop this madness. Guest guest
Please Padma, take the evidences and file a contempt. It is the only way out now. The court battle alongwith the lobbying should do it. It is their idea to kill the dogs before the holidays of the court. They plan it that way and that was the reason asking for contempt from before. I do not know why the lawyer could not file aniticpating the problems and giving an interim order or a binding. The Police Commissioner should also be approached with the court order as they have to obey the orders of the legal court. Please approach the Police Commissioner. The vet knows that you will get a positive response to the programme hence he is doing his revenge work these holidays. Please take the photos also with him on the spot. Regards, Pradeep.
