KANDY, PLANNING TO MURDER DOGS : A TARNISH ON BUDDHISM! URGENT!

Mr. De Silva, Minister of Health in Sri Lanka,

and

The Sri Lankan High Commission in London.

 

Honourable Minister,

 

Ladies and Gentlemen,

 

We learn from the internet that Dr. Jaysinghe, Municipal Chief Veterinary

Surgeon of Kandy, is planning to murder the stray animals of the City.

 

Thousands of errant dogs in Kandy have been vaccinated and sterilised over the

last three years. The costs were - and still are - mainly funded by foreign

donations.

 

We regret to inform you that it is a secret to no one that veterinary Doctor

Jaysinghe does not like animals. We know that he has always done everything in

his power to wreck the trap/neuter/return and vaccination programs. Now he even

got the support of the Mayor of Kandy to execute his killing plans.

 

Kandy is a famous centre of Buddhism. Killing innocent beings would be an

irreparable tarnish on this Faith of tolerance and kindness. The city of Kandy

would be stigmatized for ever. We can hardly believe that this will be

tolerated.

 

Dear Minister De Silva, we request you to intervene urgently and to stop Dr.

Jaysinghe from committing further evil deeds. Let the good people continue their

successful sterilizing and vaccinating programs.

 

It is a proven fact that in the end, sterilizing and vaccinating is the ONLY

successful method to control overpopulation.

 

The Merciful will be rewarded.
