Guest guest
Dear colleagues, The attached message was sent by Mrs Jaye Allan from Chengdu who is having some difficulties sending messages to the AAPN listserve(Maybe Dr Wedderburn could assist her). I trust someone can provide her with the information she wants. Best wishes, Yours sincerely, Hi! I was interested to read Claire Doole's article on how she believes WWF's ecotourism project in the Baima community is reconciling wildlife and humans. I'm looking forward to reading your views on that and similar issues, particularly regarding the effectiveness of: 1 poverty alleviation projects near nature reserves 2 nature reserve management 3 mass tourism/ecotourism in nature reserves 4 conservation education in nature reserves 5 Chinese government laws/regulations and policies on wildlife/human conflicts Why? I'm writing an article for the Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy on: " Peace-building strategies in wildlife/human conflict situations " , focussing on giant panda reserves in China - that is, the Mountains of Southwest China Biodiversity Hotspot. Looking forward to hearing from you, especially if you feel measures are working, then why. If why not, then why not. Thanks! Cheers and regards, Mrs Jaye Allan in Chengdu Masters in Captive Vertebrate Management
