Report of Anti-Rabies Camp Held by PAWS in Nalasopara:

 

On 17th July, Sunday PAWS team consisting trustees Ms. Anuradha & Mr. Nilesh

along with its Core team Vishal, Sonali, ShivPrasad, Mousumi, Nevil & PAWS

mumbai trustee Sunish got together for the Vaccination camp at Thane Rly.

station. Sunish brought his new ambulance for the camp.

 

We started journey in morning at 9.30 am. While going we stoped on Ghodbundar

road at ThaneSPCA animal hospital. The young team cleaned the entire hospital,

played with Animals, took animals to walk, Fed the animals. Then we started

journey towards Nalasopara - a western suburb of Mumabai which is 87 Kms. long.

 

We reached spot at 1.00pm, then local volunteers like Sherley Ammana, Rita

Hendriks & Judas Fernandes of Shree Prastha Complex joined PAWS team for the

camp. We started with first lane of compelex & end with last lane and covered

entire Shreeprastha complex. Total 73 Stray dog & 1 Goat we vaccinated against

Rabies in just 2 hours of time. Also several injured stray dogs we treated on

the spot. Removed Maggots from the wounds of injured stray dogs.

PAWS orgnises local camps for Bullocks, Horses, Donkeys & Stray dogs-cats every

month. If you would like to support the cause taken-up by PAWS, please send your

Dr. Mukharji Road, Dombivli (East) 421201. We also accept 'donation in kind'

like Vaccins, Syringes & Niddles, medicines, rescue equipments like Dog Muzzels,

Pet Carriers.
