From our Correspondent

MANGALDAI, July 7: People here, including DFO (WL) Sukumar Monin;

farewell to Bhu Dev Chakraborty (41), a forest guard of the Orang

recently.

The incident took place when Bhu Dev Chakraborty along with game

night patrolling on foot from Bali forest camp to Hati forest camp

along the river Dhansiri on the western part of the park. At about

10.45 p.m., a Royal Bengal Tiger suddenly attacked Chakraborty and

taken him back to Bali camp where he succumbed to his injuries.

After postmortem at the Mangaldai Civil Hospital, the body was
