Guest guest
Hi all, i get a message when i post saying that the post must be approved first, before hitting the list (my paraphrase). Is this so? If true, this is the only list that I am d to with this censorship (and I am d to over 100 now). For someone living in a country where freedom of the press has been suspended, this borders on repulsive. So wuz up?!? thanks, jiggy www.animalnepal.org
Guest guest
Hi Jiggy and Everyone! Yes, I screen all the posts but only to exclude spam and gross irrelevance. I can assure you that no post will be rejected if it concerns Asian animal issues - no matter what the shade of opinion. On the other hand, if the membership prefers to put up with the occasional spam, I shall be happy to stop the task of moderating. Please let me know at: john John Wedderburn. > In aapn , " jiggy gaton " <jigme_gaton@h...> wrote: > Hi all, i get a message when i post saying that the post must be approved > first, before hitting the list (my paraphrase). Guest guest
Dear John, I would like aapn to continue just as it is - no spam and all shades of opinion. You have been doing a great job. Guest guest
In message <COEKLNEOIMKEMCKMIEKHMEDECJAA.drkrishna, Dr.S.Chinny Krishna <drkrishna writes >Dear John, > >I would like aapn to continue just as it is - no spam and all shades of >opinion. > >You have been doing a great job. > >Regards. > >Chinny Krishna > I agree. Most of the lists I belong to are handled along these lines. I do not feel that my freedom is in any way jeopardised by someone taking the trouble to filter out spam, abuse and gross irrelevance before it reaches my inbox. The breadth of opinion expressed is impressive and obviously unaffected by the removal of any junk. Whilst I do not contribute frequently (I live in the UK and have plenty to do as a director and international contact for the UK Vegan Society and board member of the European Vegetarian Union) I do read the posts with interest, often acting on the information provided and encouraging others to do so. If I had to wade through a heap of irrelevant junk, I would simply leave the list. All thanks to John for putting in so much effort on our behalf. Guest guest
I just joined and I find this group informative, inspiring, open-minded, friendly and helpful. I think posts need to be screened to deter spams and assure that rules are followed. --- " Dr.S.Chinny Krishna " <drkrishna wrote: > Dear John, > > I would like aapn to continue just as it is - no > spam and all shades of > opinion. > > You have been doing a great job. > > Regards. > > Chinny Krishna > > > Dr John Wedderburn [john] > Wednesday, July 13, 2005 9:56 AM > aapn > Re: Are posts screened before > publish here? > > Hi Jiggy and Everyone! > Yes, I screen all the posts but only to exclude spam > and gross > irrelevance.
