Guest guest Posted July 8, 2005 Report Share Posted July 8, 2005 The Sentinel, Guwahati, 08 July 2005 GANGTOK, July 7 (PTI) A man called Kishor Chettri has been arrested for possessing three sets of rhino horns from Singtam about 25 km from here. Chettri was picked up after Singtam police conducted raids at his residence late last evening and recovered three complete sets of rhino horns from his bedroom, officer-in charge, Singtam police station Solomon Rai said. The police arrested on a tip-off that a man possessing rhino horns at Singtam was looking for buyers, he said. Thoughhe did not rule out the possibility of Chettri being part of a larger nexus of poachers and smugglers, Rai said a clear picture would emerge only after Chettri was interrogated further.
