PAWS ACHIVEMENTS IN ITS HALF DECADE:

 

# PAWS recently received its Second Ambulance from PAWS Trustee Brinda Updhyaya

which is now operational between Bhandup-Thane Central Suburbs of Mumbai run by

Mr. Sunish Subramanian a 22 yrs. old hardcore activist.

 

# PAWS is the only charity in mumbai & thane which is run by youngsters aged

between 20 to 30.

 

# PAWS Dombivli's work featured in LIMCA BOOK OF RECORDS year 2005. The details

of rescue work published in Book.

 

# NGO's website KARMAYOG made 'PAWS - Non-Profit for the Month of March', A

first NGO in Animal Welfare to receive such support.

 

# PAWS Thane Unit & Bombay Unit rescues-treats approximately 1100 distressed

animals every year, which is higher than any group in thane district.

 

# PAWS Dombivli runs unique Ambulance service since 2001 in district of Thane,

which is donated by Mr. Anil Kataria of Ahmadnagar SPCA.

 

# PAWS is successful to rescue Lions & Tigers from Circus with the help of

other NGO’s.

 

# PAWS Mumbai has successfully closed down illegal slaughterhouse in Bhandup

area.

 

# PAWS Dombivli is the only charity in Thane District, which organizes maximum

nos. of Vaccination Camps & Treatment camps for all sorts of animals like Horses

used in Carts, Donkeys used in civil works, Bullocks used in Carts, Stray Dogs &

cats.

 

# PAWS constant raids on snake charmers, bird sellers stopped illegal

trafficking of wild reptiles & birds.
