An elderly lady living on her own on a smallholding has a flock of eighty geese that needs to be re-homed or else they will be sold off as slaughter birds. She started off with a few geese and attempted to keep the flock size under control by collecting the eggs to prevent breeding. However, the birds moved into areas that she could not access and the flock size rapidly grew to the point where she now has eighty birds to care for. She is cannot afford to carry on looking after them and when the next spring arrives they will breed again. These birds need to be rescued before they end up on someone's table. If there is any group or individual out there who can help, please contact me at the address below or else contact Alwyn Smit, who lives right there, on amstiling , or by telephone on 09 4225510, or on mobile phone number 027 663 2899.
