Low's statement shows his ignorance of social issues and trivialises the factors that contribute to racial unity in Malaysia. Low has the right to dislike dogs but claiming it is a “racial unity” issue shows the association's desperation to win support. Banning dogs as pets has nothing to do with racial unity but a lot to do with the association's members forcing their personal prejudices on other Selayang Baru residents. LISA KUOK, Petaling Jaya.
