Guest guest
" The agitated residents were so horrified by the ghastly act that they promptly called up VSPCA President Pradeep Nath to complain " This case is being watched closely by VSPCA to specifically stop the misuse of guns that are also used for poaching. Last year VSPCA seized seven guns and handed them over to the Forest Department while preventing the slaughter of four monitor lizards and also snakes. The area where this incident occurred is in a slum on the border of the city making the dogs difficult to catch. Regardless VSPCA has managed to spay/neuter and vaccinate 70% of the dogs there so far. The Municipal laws, Dog Rules, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and using of unauthorized guns or arms have all been violated here and Pradeep Nath, VSPCA President, is continuing to pursue legal action even though politics, issues of minority favoritism and corruption are all conspiring against easy prosecution of the culprits.
