IFAW is not an organization but a religion, in that it

expects what it claims to be unquestioningly swallowed as articles of

faith, no matter how far beyond the evidence of the senses.

In this instance the congregation are people who to my

understanding are mostly knowledgeable about who is really doing what

in animal welfare, and the sermon is such an obvious sea of crap

that I cannot imagine any among them of normal intelligence and

decent self-esteem stepping forth for baptism, or communion, or

whatever else the IFAW high priests ask them to accept.

Some may, unfortunately, be desperately poor enough to

profess to believe and be willing to do anything for the hope of

money, which like winnings from bingo games will mostly not

materialize, and mostly not amount to much even if it does.
