This is regarding Tsunami kill few animals in Sri Lanka and donations .

WE had drought and floods and now tsunami.We have received considerable

amount of money .

What is the use of sending your money as the Environment Ministry is

controlled by poachers and people who have deciplinary inquiries.These

people are removing the honest officers of the departments .

 

The Sunday times has exposed how some people are transporting large logs

from south to Jaffna .This is illegal.

Three elephants were knocked down by the train .Many were killed earlier.The

Department of Wild life Conservation and Environment Ministry is

silent.There is an officer of wild life Conservation who has 102 charges

against him.He was sent on compulsory leave .They should start the inquiry .

.Tsunami is a blessing as that will slow down the corrupted work of the

Environment Ministry.

Present Environment Ministry is worse than Tsunami .

Please request your Government to request the Sri lankan Government to

remove the corrupted officers and Ministers before sending money .

 

 

There was a news paper report about the pathetic state of Yala

the wild animals in the Yala santuary is threatened by the pilgrims who

visit Kataragama.

As they enter the sanctuary they search for bush meat.One villager has

talked to the repoter of Lankadeepa and metioned that some days the poachers

kill 200 deer per day .As the park was closed it became a

paradise for poachers and Yala is the main sancturay which supply bush meat .

Some times 30 to 40 jeeps come out of the Sanctuary .The reporter has

mentioned that they were shocked to hear

such news.

Then they asked the Basnayaka Nilame Nilanga Dela Bandara of Kataragama

Devale asked whether he can stop this cruelty?

 

Nilanga Dela Bandara has mentioned that Kataragama is not a developed

area.Low income families live in this area.The climate is very dry .It is a

multi religious place.Apart from that administration is poor.As a result of

that these problems have risen.

 

Now that is the real state of Yala .WE learned that the persons who perform

religious duties in Kataragama also eat meat of peacock and deer and sambur

..Basnayaka Nilame Nilanga Dela Bandara who can`t decipline the

workers of his devale is ignoring the law of the country.

We know that he has no sympathy for animals and killed large number of dogs

Before Kataragam Procession.

 

Kataragama is a religious place where they serve vegetarian food to the

pilgrims.It was a safe place for animals and humans.Now the things has changed.

Nilanga Dela Bandara tried to start a tourist center taking 6 baby elephants

from the elephant orphanage .

The person who called himself as a native doctor used to burn the boils of

elephants using heated iron rods .

That native doctor was killed by the elephant of Kataragma Devale of Kandy.

Now Mr Dela Bandara is contesting to become the Diyavadana Nilame of Temple

of the tooth.
