A female Sambhar (Antelope)

which has strayed into Havaas Village, on Rahon Road, Ludhiana was rescued by a

team of People for Animals Ludhiana, accompanied by undersigned and forest

officials led by Mr. Darshan Singh, Forest Range officer. It was transferred to

Deer Park Neelon, after providing First Aid and treatment at P.F.A.’s Animals’ &

Birds Shelter at village Khwajke, as she had bruises and wounds. On Instructions

from Ms Geethanjali, IFS, Deputy Divisional Forest Officer, it was decided to

keep the animal under observation at Neelon for some period and it will be

released in Forests after wards.

The animal was unloaded from ambulance in an enclosure where an injured Sambhar

rescued from Samrala area was already present. Now a days animals like sambhars,

Blue Bulls etc come out from forest areas in foggy weather.

A Peacock was also brought

from Ber Kalan village near Samrala. It was attacked by a dog and has become

injured. He is unable to fly as the dog tore its wings. Veterinarian of the
