Guest guest
" Jill Robinson, the Founder of Animals Asia Foundation www.animalsasia.org), will be the featured guest on NPR's call-in show " The Connection " on Wednesday, December 22, from 11-12 EST. Jill's primary passions include founding and running the world's largest rescue effort of endangered Asiatic Black Bears (nicknamed Moon Bears) from bile farms in China. Animals Asia's Moon Bear Rescue Center in Sichuan Province currently has nearly 115 bears, many of whom are missing legs, paws, teeth and claws due to illegal capture in the wild and also from decades spent confined in coffin-like cages on bear farms. Jill has also been working for over 20 years to close down China's live animal markets, where tens of millions of dogs, cats, farmed and wild animals are tortured and slaughtered annually for the food and international fur markets. NPR will be including information about Jill's interview, animal rescue and humane education efforts on their " Connection " website at www.theconnection.org. You can also visit Animals Asia's website at www.animalsasia.org for further information. "
