URGENT;

ARE YOU IN MELBOURNE

and available between 5pm and 7 pm on Friday 5th November ?

Greyhound racing Victoria is hosting a free race night at Federation Square

using the big screen for race screening. It will be hosted by football stars

Nathan Brown (Richmond) and Chris Tarrant (Collingwood) and former Carlton

captain Andrew McKay who is the official GRV ambassador. They will also be

having a free barbeque. The event will be MC'd by Nova 100 presenter Melissa

Femia and they have prizes such as a Plasma screen. The event will be a great

chance to let the public know what goes on in the industry.

The greyhound industry disgards over 20,000 greyhounds a year and exports

thousands of greyhounds to Asia , countries such as China and Korea where

there is a thriving illegal trade in dogmeat for human consumption.

GREYHOUND ACTION AUSTRALIA

will be holding a protest against this event and needs your help.

It will be our first public appearance and after all the media attention we

have had lately we know they are concerned about us and really need to show

them we mean business by having as many people there as possible.

Please come along at 5 pm and help us show the public what greyhound racing

is really all about -

and please phone Emma on 0408 552 862 so we will have an idea of who will be

able to attend or if you are able to help make banners etc.

Thank you,

Emma
