We undertake education and awareness work in village areas where baiting is known to occur and where bear cubs are known to be caught from the wild for this trade. WSPA has campaigned against bear baiting since the mid 1990's and the number of events has diminished due to this work, but some events still take place and further lobbying and campaigning will take place over the following months aimed at eradicating the events.
