Lost of Zoos in China are currently in debt due to the fast

development of zoos in China in the recent years, to improve

the situation, zoos sell animals. Gansu Lanzhou Zoo's price

list is as follow: Female Lion - RMB 3K, Mangala Tiger - RMB

30K, Black & Brown Bear - RMB 10K, Panda is negotiable. Zoo

owner also rent out animals for private shows, you can see

not only the above mentioned animals, but also including

crocodiles and Subfams (snakes).

 

According to the zoo owner, this action is done due to lack

of money, without enough money, they cannot offer a good

life to the animals, e.g. Crocodile, Subfams, etc. are the

kind of animals requires lot of attention and money, and the

zoo needs to pay fine if the animals die.
