Guest guest
List, it was many months ago that I received a message about a vervet (African green) monkey kept in bad conditions in Singapore. I forwarded the message to Louis Ng at ACRES. He immediately looked into the situation and the monkey was confiscated and, after several months, was taken by Louis to an African sanctuary. Although the monkey had been smuggled out of South Africa, there was no welcome for him there. South Africa greedily snapped up four gorillas wanted by their native land, Cameroon --- but said " Hell, no " to a local monkey. All of us at the International Primate Protection League send our congratulations to ACRES on its immediate and wonderful response. We gotta clone our Louis! Louis, you have all our love and admiration. And we hope Blue will live " happily ever after. Guest guest
Shirley et al, (Read heavy sarcasm here:) Don't you know, gorillas are much more important than one silly, common vervet monkey? Pretoria Zoo spent over 25 thousand dollars getting the Taiping 4 gorillas to their zoo, but no one in South Africa gave one rand or penny to help Blue, the monkey. Thank god for ACRES, IPPL and others (yes, so we helped too) who see individuals make up the species that we're all trying to protect from selfish, arrogant humans.
