Dear Colleague,

I write to encourage your organization's attendance at an important forum

being organized by IFAW in association with the University of Limerick.

Wildlife Conservation: In Pursuit of Ecological Sustainability, will be held

at the University of Limerick, Ireland from 16 to 19 June 2004. For

registration details and further information please go to www.ifaw.org/forum

The goal of this first-ever international forum is to consider alternatives

to the " wise use " ( " use it or lose it " ) philosophy promoting " sustainable

use " of wildlife populations. Invited speakers and participants from around

the world will together examine the conservation movement's evolving

approach to pursuing the goal of ecological sustainability. In addition to

leading experts in the field and a wide range of attendees, the forum will

also feature an evening event with Dr. Jane Goodall.

Your participation and perspective will make a significant contribution

toward the success of this important event. Please take a moment now to

register at www.ifaw.org/forum <http://www.ifaw.org/forum> . Should you

have any questions regarding the forum please contact Sheryl Fink of IFAW at

sfink <sfink or by phone at 1-519-767-1948, ext.

22.

I look forward to seeing you in June.

Sincerely,

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW -- www.ifaw.org) works to improve the welfare of

wild and domestic animals throughout the world by reducing commercial

exploitation of animals, protecting wildlife habitats, and assisting animals in

distress. IFAW seeks to motivate the public to prevent cruelty to animals and to

promote animal welfare and conservation policies that advance the well-being of

both animals and people.
