Ismail Adam was following his father to a rubber plantation through the jungle when two tigers attacked him. Ismail's father, upon hearing his son's screams, tried to chase the animals away by shouting and hurling clods of earth, the Star daily said. The victim, who suffered severe gashes in his neck, was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby clinic. State Wildlife and National Parks Department deputy director Mohamad Ismail said a team had been sent to the area to capture the tigers, the report said.
