Guest guest
Dolphin Slaughter in Japan 30th january 2004 : massive dolphins capture for dolphinariums. This morning, the fishermen and about sixty trainers made about a hundred dolphins strand on the beach of Taiji. Many dolphins hurted themselves by struggling out of the water, while the trainers were selecting the dolphins for aquariums all over the world. This is the captivity trade that makes this ‘hunt’ very lucrative, and then encourages the fishermen to continue, despite the strong international opposition. The role of the dolphinariums is undeniable in these slaughters and captures. Ric and Helene O’Barry , the One Voice representatives, managed to videotape these scenes despite the ‘‘protection’’ tarpaulins. The police let them do, all the more so as they were accompanied by the London Times. However, the remaining dolphins have not been killed for the moment, probably because of the presence of the cameras.
