I usually forward the articles that I read here, to specific organizations, sometimes several at the same time. If you haven't tried this I suggest you try it. I usually add my own personal message in the hope of getting a reply, which I usually do even though it may take some time. For example, like I commented on my last e-mail, I forwarded a heart-breaking article to IDA (In Defense of Animals) to Kristie, as I had had contact with her regarding other animals issues. She was very responsive and told me that she would try to get in touch with officials to see what could be done. This was regarding a similar article to the one you referred to (also in China). She has recently told me (Kristie) that she's working on that issue. Regarding the recent article that you commented on, I also forwarded to her and several other organizations. If I hear something from them, I will let you know. In the meantime, I suggest you try to help the animals which may need help around you, which is what I try to do as well. Sometimes, all we can do is pray and do our best. I'm sure God loves these suffering animals, as much as we care for them. At least this helps me, and I hope it helps you too. Guest guest
Hi Jeremy, Thanks for your e-mail. I live in the US, close to Washington, DC., so I'm sorry I couldn't be able to join a group in your city, but some other people who belong in the aapn group may be interested, but I think if you ask for help in an animal shelter or Humane Society or similar organization in your city, asking them how you could help them with the homeless animals, I'm sure they would be able to help you help them. There is an animal shelter in my town where I used to do some volunteer work, and which I hope to do more in the future. I have a dog of my own and he also gives me quite a bit of work. I believe that people who care about animals feel the way we do, we wish we could save them all from suffering, but unfortunately is a big world; but we will keep trying to do our part won't we? Regards, Patricia
Guest guest
Hello to everyone: I have been an active participant of AAPN as far as I have been able to; by sharing some of my thoughts, trying to reach out to organizations, and individuals in groups such as this for any worthwhile cause that I find through aapn, or otherwise. I would encourage members of aapn to do the same. I believe everything that we do to help the animals, even if it may seem little, it will help advance in the cause of stopping or alleviating the needless suffering of animals. I have found this to be true, from my own experience. I believe the project " Voice for dogs " (www.voice4dogs.org) has a good idea in exporting the homeless animals and they need all the help they can get. I would like to do anything I can to help them as an individual even from far away, as I live in the US, but I believe " Voice for dogs " needs, even more, the help of other animal rights organizations and perhaps even other types or organizations to join them for help in their efforts. Cordially, Patricia Vargas
