Dear Kim,

I'd like to comment on your messages regarding the IDA's work with Korean

dogs and cats. First, I believe your organization and others like yours are

taking a " political " attitude on the animal rights issue.

How can you say that it is " outrageous " to help animals suffering,

needlessly? That is what you are really saying, when you don't give credit to

honest,

dedicated and compassionate individuals like Kristie and all in her

organization who try to act on their care and compassion to help animals even in

other

countries such as Korea. Your organization and others may be forgetting that we

are all working on the same side, even individuals like me who can do at

least something as simple as asking to sign petitions or similar things.

If IDA believed that because of the protests and similar actions to help the

animals in Korea influenced the recent news of revising the animal protection

laws in the Ministry of Agriculture in Korea, I'm sure it was an honest

mistake. IDA is a wonderful organization that has accomplished numerous things

for

animals all over the world (You can check their website) and they do it to

take credit or stand out, they do it because they are compassionate,

hard-working

individuals.

I believe that action is more important than just awareness. The fact that

you belittle their hard work and dedication, when they wouldn't have to do

anything at all is to my opinion inconsiderate and arrogant. How many people

do

you know who would be ready to make protests on a cold, wintery day, place

herself inside a cage in front of a public building and risk even her safety for

the animals? I think we should be

grateful to IDA to everyone who does anything to help the defenseless

suffering.

Sincerely,

Patricia V.
