Guest guest
IDA is not an organisation that I know well and I really cannot comment on this individual case. I do know Kristie to be a fine, compassionate person but I do not know how sensitive she might be to a problem that irks us in Asia. We have too often seen employees of the big USA organisations swing into town, get their photographs taken alongside our current big issues and then disappear back home where the pictures and stories are utilised for fund raising. Most often they do nothing positive to help the issue and quite often they make things worse. With the Korean food dog issue, I think what we in other countries should do is support KAPS - not try to fight separately, the issue is too difficult for that. The politics and cultural issues are very complicated. Foreigners going in with big boots can often be counter-productive. John.
