The animal advocacy group In Defense of Animals has informed me that two

million dogs are electrocuted, strangled, or bludgeoned to death each year in

South Korea—just so diners can " enjoy " meals made from dog meat. As you know,

the

Korean Livestock and Sanitation Act forbids the cooking, sale and consumption

of dog meat, and your Animal Protection Law considers dogs to be " domestic

pets. "

 

Because I care deeply about all living things, I want to do what I can to

help " man’s best friend. " I urge you to make every effort to enforce existing

laws that protect dogs and to support even tougher measures on their behalf. Now

is the time to put an end to the torture and massacre of South Korean canines.
