Guest guest
Greyhound Action International / Asian Alert Due to the continued export of greyhounds to Asia we are asking greyhound supporters around the world to help in the campaigns to stop the greyhound abusers and the further growth and expansion of the racing industry. Greyhounds that are exported to Asia have no hope of survival once they are surplus to requirements. This is due to the lack of animal welfare in Asia, the notorious barbaric dog meat markets and the lack of rehoming programmes or opportunities. Australia is the main exporter of greyhounds to Asia and the Australian government and racing authorities are supporting the export of greyhounds to Asian countries in the full knowledge that the dogs will end their days being brutally slaughtered. How you can help 1. Visit our website www.greyhoundaction.co.uk, click on international and write to each individual countries such as Australia, Korea, Vietnam, China and any other countries that are involved with greyhound racing in Asia asking them to stop. Sample letters and addresses are provided. 2. Please contact the racing stadiums in the Asian countries and offer to give a loving home to a greyhound. If you run an animal sanctuary you may consider rescuing more then one greyhound. They may not agree, but please keep trying as the only alternative for the dogs is being slaughtered. 3. Contact us at greyhoundactioninternational and ask for leaflets and protest cards. 4. You can help us to continue in our campaigns as material, postage, etc. are costly, by making a donation. Cheques and postal orders can be made payable to Greyhound Action International or you can go into your bank and ask them to transfer money to our account or to set up a standing order to make us a donation on a regular basis. Account details The Greyhound Action International HSBC Bank PLC Sort Code 40-04-37 Account No. 51433253 Thank you for caring for the greyhounds, please continue to fight for them.
