SPCA Animal Protection Officer Vivian LaFlamme, " look great! "

The 10 horses, 2 with fold, were seized from an address on Book Road

in Ancaster by the Hamilton\Burlington SPCA after receiving

information from the Hamilton Police Services. The horses were taken

to an undisclosed Ancaster location where they have treated, fed,

boarded and are recovering.

has until Saturday, August 9th., at 5 p.m. to pay. The " cost of

removal " includes the horses blood work, de-worming, vaccinations,

veterinary treatment, boarding, and transportation.

Animal Protection Officer Vivian LaFlamme said that charges under the

Criminal Code of Canada are still pending in this case. The cruelty

to animal offence carries a maximum penalty of two years in jail, a

fine of up to $60,000 or both.
