Sponsor a Stray Program Helps Animals in Greece

The 'Sponsor a Stray' program, now available online at

www.garcanada.bizland.com supports strays that have been rescued but,

for various reasons, are unable to be adopted as well as those who

are being cared for in their 'protected neighbourhood'.

 

Sponsorship fees will cover such needs as vaccinations, spay/neuter

surgery, microchip implant, treating any ongoing or future illnesses,

flea/tick maintenance, deworming, dental work, food, litter and

bedding for your sponsored animal.

 

An animal can have multiple sponsors; the number of sponsors

registered for a particular animal is indicated under each photo.

Groups or organizations can also participate.

 

The monthly sponsorship fee for dogs and cats is $12. You may submit

the sponsorship fee on a monthly ($12), quarterly ($36), semi-annual

($72) or annual ($144) basis.

 

The monthly sponsorship fee for donkeys and equines is $15. You may

submit the sponsorship fee on a monthly ($15), quarterly ($45), semi-

annual ($90) or annual ($180) basis.

 

To make it easier for people who live in Greece to sponsor an animal,

I will be setting up a bank account into which you can deposit your

sponsorship fees when I am in Athens in late September. The bank

account information will be posted on this page. In the meantime,

please feel free to complete the Sponsorship Registration Form and

send it to me so I have the required information on file.

 

Funds will be submitted directly to the organization/persons

responsible for your sponsored animal. Quarterly updates on your

sponsored animal will also be provided. Photos will have a link to

the participating organization's website (if available).

 

Sponsorhip fees can be paid by cash, Visa or cheque - payable to

Greek Animal Rescue - please be sure to include the name of your

sponsored animal with all fees being submitted. If submitting by

mail, please send to the address shown at the bottom of my home page.

 

In the event that future circumstances mean your sponsored animal is

no longer available for sponsorship, I will advise you as soon as

possible and you may make another selection. If your new sponsored

animal is being cared for by the same organisation/persons, any

remaining funds will be tranferred to your new sponsored animal; if

not, perhaps you would consider it as a regular donation to that

organization.

 

All the participating organizations and the animals themselves who

will benefit directly from this program thank you for caring and for
