Guest guest
From an email to me from " Environmental Alerts " : For years, conventional wisdom and the basic tenets of humane education argued that a child who mistreats animals will grow up to be insensitive or abusive to other human beings. Recent research has confirmed the link between violence against animals and other violent behavior. Spectacular accounts of serial killers and mass murderers reveal a common denominator: they had committed acts of animal abuse in their childhood's that either went unreported to or were ignored by law enforcement officials. Consequently, people around the world are coming to see animal abuse as not only an animal welfare issue, but as a serious concern. Finally, animal cruelty is getting the attention it deserves! Tell us what you think. What is the best way to deal with people who are guilty of cruelty to animals. Take our poll: http://www.care2.com/go/z/6618 -- Take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. --Elie Wiesel
