I also believe the new Animal Welfare Bill is sitting high on the agenda of the Upper House for consideration and debate. Please bring forward the Animal Welfare Bill now so it can be debated and passed by the Upper House or sent back to the Lower House if need be. Please, for the animals, can't you give the Animal Welfare Bill top priority and have it passed this year? Animals have no voice to defend themselves against the cruelty of humans towards them and unfortunately cruelty to animals is always present in today's society. I believe the RSPCA and all animal welfare groups are supportive of a new Animal Welfare Bill. Please let us all have the new Animal Welfare Bill debated and passed before the end of the current parliamentary session. Please, for the animals and those who try so hard to stop human cruelty to animals, pass the new Animal Welfare Bill this year and show that the West Australian Labor party ranks compassion to animals high on its list of priorities.
