Guest guest
ELEPHANT INJURED ON TRANSPORTATION The tusker fell from the lorry while he was transported, due to the ignorance of the lorry driver. The lorry which was on wrong side had a sudden brake to rescue a bike which resulted in the fall of the tusker. The event occurred on oct-28 Sunday evening at Kottayam a town inIndia. The elephant was being transported to the house of his new owner. The front legs of the elephant were tied to the lorry using a chain so that he couldn’t be rescued after his fall. The elephant was in the position with front legs in lorry and hind legs on the road for more than half an hour. He had lots of injuries in his stomach and the front legs where he was chained. The elephant was finally rescued after cutting the chain. Even though the tusker was crying with pain he didn’t attacked anyone. Finally he was moved to a nearby plot. The mahouts then got some water for him which he sprayed to his wounds using his trunks. The owner of the elephant arrived soon and he applied some ointments to the wounds. The mahouts said that there is no chance for any fracture. The witness said that the accident occurred due to the ignorance of driver, the reason was driving on wrong side and the sudden braking. The driver said that the lorry was on wrong side due to the difficulty in turning the lorry. The elephants name is Rajiv and is 17 years old. I am also attaching a photo of the accident. sandeep
