Killing animals to raise funds is hardly charity

 

 

WHILE proud to be an Australian, I am ashamed when it comes to the cruel

live-animal export. Many people in Australian deplore the cruel live-animal

trade.

 

As your recent report reveals, our animals are victims of misguiding reasoning

since I fail to recognise the “charity” in hurting (in this case, killing) an

innocent animal to raise funds by the parent-Tteacher association.

 

In fact, the moral objective of this charity is totally defeated. There are

many ethical ways to raise funds.

 

True compassion should extend beyond our own species.

 

Well done, animal lovers of Sungai Petani. It is a shame there wasn & #8217;t

anyone who could find it in his/her heart to save the second camel.
