Guest guest
At present there is an outbreak of Foot and mouth disease in Sri Lanka in North Western Province in Wariyapola. There is a cattle sanctuary maintained by a Buddhist temple in Wariyapola. Some people have introduced Foot and mouth infected cattle to that sanctuary and other cattle were infected . This year there was an epidemic in North Central Province in Anuradapura and that has infected large number of cattle. There was an outbreak of Foot and mouth in Western Province also. We have a very poor government veterinary service in the Western Province.Vaccinations are not done properly. We don`t kill infected cattle .We treat them .Sri Lanka is a small country so infections can spread quickly. I don`t know EU .I hope somebody will pass this information to EU .
