(CN) Ignoble side to sport of kings and Yes Minister from Sri Lanka

I feel so sorry for the racing horses and i don`t know whether any animal

group could do a video to expose the true story of racing horses?

 

In 1983 when Prime Minister`s party was in power (he was a junior minister

then) they have Banned Killing of Buffaloes and killing of all female cattle

by a cabinet decision.

Very recently On the 22nd of April 2002 Minister S.B.Dissanayake the

Agriculture Minister has directed the Director General of Animal Production

of Health to write a letter to all chief secretaries to inform all

veterinary surgeons saying that the Ministry has lift the ban imposed by

the cabinet decision of 1983 prohibiting killing of female cattle and

buffaloes .This is a wrong thing .Mr S.B.Dissanayake can`t cancel a decision

taken by a cabinet .On the other hand other cabinet Ministers like Minister

of Justice didn`t even know about that till I inform them.

Minister of Justice has directed my letter to the Agriculture Minister.

Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country Prime Minister started a golden fence around

JayaSri Mahabodi tree.

Lord Buddha never expected such things. He wanted all animals to live in peace.

 

Minister S.B.Dissanayake who secretly lift the ban has helped Muslim and

Christian butchers.As a result there are large numbers of cattle thieves.

Export of meat was started by the previous government and that is a sin

according to the Buddhist teachings.

 

Please request the Prime Minister Ranil Wickramsinghe to ban killing of

Buffaloes and all female cattle and export of meat,and home slaughter and

include them to cattle ordinance.
