Dear Editor,

 

Stem Cell research:

 

When the vivisectors followed on from the grave robbing dissectors in

England in the 1800s people were told " well it is your child 's health or

your

dog, let us do these experiments and we will find the cures for cancer and

diabetes. " Not many were brave enough to argue against that!

 

Many of the other strange new diseases of today had not yet surfaced but

neither have the promised " cures " arrived either after over a century of

cruel and useless experiments on animals.

 

Having tried every procedure possible by trying to induce human disease

into healthy animals or deliberately injuring animals (all in the cause of

the

progress of science of course) the new cry is " give us your unborn

children " . Sort of grave-robbing in reverse - stealing from future

generations

in some vain hope of producing a mythical " fountain of youth " .

 

How foolish we are and will we ever wake up that we are beig used by those

playing on our sympathy and making us feel guilty if we are fortunate not

to suffer a life threatening disease.
