Re UK ban on dog and cat fur

A recent posting on new UK import bans on domestic animal fur

stated " The Government agrees that the import, export and trade in domestic

cat and

dog fur is abhorrent, " said Foreign Office Minister Baroness Symons of

Vernham Dean, who also said that the ban would be very similar to the one

imposed by the United States in 1998. "

 

Its a pity the UK doesn't ban the import of ALL animal fur

(including rabbit fur and skins). The UK ban is a good start but if the ban

is limited

to dog and cat fur only, it is decidedly specieist.
