Guest guest
Hi, I thought you may be interested in an advertisment screened here the other day. It put an interesting spin on human impact on the environment and the animals. The advertisment showed monkeys in the trees of a forest and it implied by the year 2040 the animals in this forest would have no more fear of the rain forest being cleared. Then the advert showed a small herd of elephants wandering through some forest and the voiceover said by the year 2040 the elephants would have no more to fear from humans clearing their habitat etc. At that stage I was wondering if they were going to say something bizzare like the animals wouldnt have to worry because they (the animals) would all be extinct and there would be no more rainforest left. But instead, the end of the advert stated the animals wouldnt have to worry because there would be hardly any humans left because of the AIDS epidemic. The advert was for an ASIA/PACIFIC ? AIDS appeal because of the high rates of AIDS in many countries. This put an interesting if not suspect approach to how the decimation of some animal species and the environment will be stopped (by human extinction). Kind regards, Marguerite
