Guest guest
Hi, This is to inform you all that a circus by the name of Rajkamal Circus is performing at Palace Grounds in Bangalore. Four Animal welfare Officers from PFA Bangalore went and inspected the circus and found 20 lions, 1 sloth bear, 1 huge hippo, 8 elephants (2 were tuskers), 6 horses, 2 rabbits, 2 geese, 2 goats, etc. 8 of the lions were in a terrible condition, some with open wounds, one without an eyeball, one with broken legs. All their wounds were strewn with turmeric and they had not been treated by any vet. The elephants were tied with chains on all their feet. The hippo was kept in a 8x6 ft carrier with 2 1/2 ft deep slushy water. The sloth bear was blind in one eye. All the lions and bears were in 5x5 size cages and not enough space to move about. The AWOs filed an FIR at High Grounds Police Station, Bangalore and the case is being investigated. We also went to the ACP of Bangalore Mr. Hosur, who also assured us of some action. It would be great if each one of us can send letters and emails to all the concerned authorities, which includes the CM, ministers, police and forest dept officials, the mayor and commisioner police, to take up the cause an get justice done to these suffering animals. We cannot get a better New Year Gift than stopping this cruel circus. Please take immediate action. Thank You. Regards, PFA, Bangalore.
