Guest guest
Hi All, Christmas is approaching and with the coming of the " festive season " I hope those on the list who are vegetarians can heighten their efforts to educate people Christmas is not " festive " for the animals who suffer and die for humans to eat. I hope all who are able will continue to spread the word vegetarianism and compassion to animals are necessary for humans to be humane and to regain their affinity with nature and each other. The horrors of cloning, GE and xenotransplantation (raising pigs to kill for their organs as transplants to humans) only detract from the obvious facts that humans are causing their own ill health through poor diet, lack of exercise and poisoning our own environment. I hope we can all remain focused and vigilant and remain voices for the voiceless. If anyone on the list is putting up a Christmas AR page, please email me the link to add to my links on my Christmas page dedicated to the animals. http://www.iinet.net.au/~rabbit/xmaspg.htm Also, for those interested in Animal poetry, I have a page containing some AR poetry including the authentic version of " Voice of the Voiceless " by Ellen Wheeler Wilcox (this version is slightly longer than the poem people usually read as being attributed to Ms Wilcox and I obtained the fill length poem from the Ellen Wheeler Wilcox Society). http://www.iinet.net.au/~rabbit/poetcnr.htm If anyone on the list has any other references for AR poetry, I would really appreciate the links. Also, if anyone is wanting clip art to build a web page with an animal/nature theme, I have a small animal and nature collection free for people to to download at http://www.iinet.net.au/~rabbit/animgraph.htm All the best for Christmas Kind regards, Marguerite Point of View By Shel Silverstein Thanksgiving dinner's sad and thankless Christmas dinner's dark and blue When you stop and try to see it From the turkey's point of view.
