Guest guest
South China Morning Post - 26th November 2001 http://www.scmp.com/ Authorities in Shenzhen launched a campaign to eradicate dogs without proper IDs after two people died from the bites of uncertified canines, the Beijing Morning Post reported. So far, more than 1,000 dogs have fallen victim to the citywide drive to get rid of the threat once and for all, AFP cited the report as saying. The new no-nonsense policies were launched after two people - one a child - died from rabies after being bitten by stray dogs, the paper said. More than 10,000 people have visited clinics this year alone to be vaccinated after dog bites.
