Guest guest Posted October 23, 2001 Report Share Posted October 23, 2001 UPDATE - Disaster Info SOURCE: ASPCA News Alert 10/17/01 PAKISTAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL TREATING HUNDREDS OF EQUINE REFUGEES As reported by World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), equine specialists at the Brooke Animal Hospital in Pakistan are daily treating up to 150 donkeys and horses carrying refugees across the Afghanistan border. " These animals weren't strong enough to begin with, " says WSPA's International Projects, John Walsh, " and now they've had to travel long distances with backbreaking loads and hardly a bite to eat.
