Guest guest Posted October 17, 2001 Report Share Posted October 17, 2001 - ESAR01 Dear friends and activists Last November 2000 while I was visiting Karachi (Pakistan) an English magazine SOUTHASIA published my interview with them on Animal Rights. This initiative from the magazine was highly appreciated by the animal rights community SOUTHASIA received letters of thanks and encouragement from Ingrid Newark, Peter Singer, Jane Goodall, Ray Greek, Gretchen Tyler, Maneka Gandhi and many others. This year, again the magazine has expressed an interest in putting out a Special Feature on Animal Rights and is soliciting articles in that area. They are looking for article that relates to Animal Rights in South Asia but since the concept of AR is new to that region, any introductory or philosophical article could also be helpful. Please circulate the following announcement from Amna Khaishgi of SOUTHASIA magazine. I have already sent her my article but she should be receiving more articles so that a memorable issue on Animal Rights can be put out by the magazine.
