(Australia) Protest adoption of Food Irradiation in Australia

Hi All,

 

Here is a messy but readable email re food irradiation submission approval

(see below).

Apparently ANZFA will recommend food irradiation be allowed in Australia

(and NZ?) and the Ministers will reply by the 13th September.

 

Also, I have heard there is another application by Sunbeam USA to irradiate

Mangoes.

 

Steritechs original application was to irradiate tea, herbs and spices and

nuts etc.

 

Please take time to write to any/all of the Ministers voicing your

opposition to

Food Irradiation in Australia (specifically the approval of submission A413

re Steritech).
